(01) Cover options

What the policy can include.

Cover and add-ons vary by insurer. Your broker confirms exactly what’s in.

  1. 01

    Hire & reward

Correct cover for carrying other people’s goods for payment, which standard van policies exclude.

  2. 02

    Goods in transit

Protects the parcels and goods you carry, set at the right limit for your loads.

  3. 03

    Any driver cover

Bring on seasonal and agency drivers without updating the policy every week.

  4. 04

    Public & employers’ liability

Cover for injury and damage on the doorstep, plus the legal requirement if you employ staff.

  5. 05

    Replacement vehicle

Keep routes covered while a van is repaired.

  6. 06

    Telematics discounts

Driver behaviour data can bring premiums down at renewal.

(02) Pricing

What moves the price.

Insurers price fleets on risk. The fuller your details, the sharper the quote, which is why the form asks for these up front.

FAQ

Courier & delivery FAQs

Something else? Email info@flockinsurance.co.uk

01Do I need hire and reward cover?

If you are paid to carry other people’s goods, yes. Standard business van insurance usually excludes it, so claims could be refused.

02Can you cover seasonal or agency drivers?

Yes. Any-driver policies with minimum age and experience rules are common for courier fleets. Tell us about your driver mix in the form.

03Is goods in transit included?

You can add it in the form. The broker will ask about the typical and maximum value you carry to set the right limit.

04Do you cover delivery contractors for large platforms?

Yes. Contracted route operators are a core part of the courier market. Mention the contract in the notes so the broker can match its insurance requirements.
